The “Side Saddle” Single Wing
Side Saddle stance:
This alignment that seems to work the best for us. The QB’s stance is wide to lower him down. I like this stance better than hunching over. Also, his back foot is a step back so that it doesn’t block a wonky pistol snap to the tailback. It’s a little straight, but he can drive off that back foot with leverage to push the wedge pile. His back (right) hand is straight down, out of the way until needed. Weston was terrific at this position as both an outside and wedge runner and a blocking back.
